At the moment my website is only set up to handle shipping within the UK and a few other countries. If you are thinking of placing an order but cannot find your country in the shipping options then please contact me.

Dispatch times

I aim to dispatch your order within three working days of receiving it, and preferably much quicker. As a one-weaver business, I can’t always guarantee a same day service, but if you have a deadline to meet – and handwoven cloth is the one thing that will save your day – then let me know and I’ll do what I can.

Delivery service and costs

For most packages within the UK I use Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class post. (Although if you have ordered a veritable mountain of handwoven pieces then it may be necessary to turn to the Parcelforce 48 hour service instead.) I provide this service free to all addresses in the UK. If you would like to upgrade to Special Delivery please contact me for an update on the price.

To send overseas I use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed where possible*, which takes from three to seven days depending on where you are in the world. The cost of shipping will be applied at the checkout based on the country your item is to be sent to.

* This service is only available to street addresses. For PO Boxes I use Royal Mail International Tracked.

Customs fees and duties

If you are outside the United Kingdom, please note that there may be customs fees and/or import duties to pay on items shipped from the UK. These fees and duties are set by government and are the responsibility of the buyer. If you are concerned, please check with your local postal service or customs office before placing an order.

Packaging

I don’t like waste and neither do you. By default, I present each handwoven piece wrapped in tissue paper. This is nice and lightweight, and it doesn’t clutter the place up.

However, it doesn’t have quite the same level of elegance as the Bonny Claith presentation box, which is a very pleasing receptacle made of recycled board. This is a particularly appealing option for a gift, and is included in the price of the larger pieces. It is also available for any scarf or cowl at a small extra cost. Don’t let me pressure you on this, though: I know that many of us have more than enough boxes in our lives already.

Whichever option you choose, your scarf (or cowl or wrap) will then be sealed in a water-resistant recyclable paper mailing bag for shipping.

All the packaging I use is fully recyclable, so please don’t throw it in the bin.
